Treating menstrual pain with PEA (palmitoylethanolamide)

Menstrual pain is a disaster that haunts you every month.  It can make life really unpleasant. Painkillers are available, but with unpleasant side effects such as gastric disorders and other troubles. Each year 500 people in the Netherlands die because of this kind of painkillers and their side effects.

Fortunately, there is now an alternative pain reliever for the annoying menstrual pain. It is PeaPure, a supplement that has been available for some time now. PeaPure consists of the pure substance palmitoylethanolamide (PEA).

PEA action mechanism with menstrual pain

The action mechanism of this pain reliever follows completely the analgesic mechanisms developed by our own body. You can find more information on this elsewhere on this website.

For that reason, this substance has no significant side effects. The substance modulates the pain situation, therefore it can take some days or weeks before you clearly notice the effect.

During a period of 6 months, researchers and gynaecologists of an Italian university administered 400 mg PEA twice per day to 40 young women who all suffered from severe menstrual pain. 70% of the patients confirmed to feel good with this treatment.

The first 3 months, they were treated daily with PEA and a resveratrol, after the third month only from the 7th day before the menstrual period until after.

We recommend on the basis of our experience to take at least 3 capsules PeaPure twice per day (2 capsules after breakfast, one after dinner).
